The lodge has stunning views and is situated near trails that offer different perspectives of the lake. We paid extra for a room with a lake view and felt that it was worth the cost.
How many days should you stay at Crater Lake

The drive to get there can be long and difficult, so once you finally make it, you should take your time and enjoy everything the park has to offer. There’s no need to hurry back – the park is open 24 hours, so you can explore at your leisure. Plus, the longer you stay, the less likely you are to encounter the long lines that can sometimes form at the entrance. So relax, take your time, and enjoy the incredible views at Crater Lake!
Prospect is a small town located in the southern part of Oregon. It is about 60 miles from the California border and 30 miles from the Nevada border. It is the nearest town to Crater Lake, which is about 10 miles away.

Crater Lake National Park is a beautiful place to visit and the fees are reasonable. Vehicle fees are currently $15 per person and $10 per person for senior citizens. On May 13, 2018, the fees will go up to $25 per person for vehicles and $12 per person for senior citizens. On January 1st, 2020, the fees will go up again to $30 per vehicle and $15 per person. Senior citizens can still get a discount by showing their ID.
