If you want to clean your Petoskey stones, all you have to do is put them in a bucket or bowl and submerge them in plain distilled white vinegar. I normally soak them for up to 24 hours. The vinegar will get in and clean all the excess debris or build-up. If you’re feeling fancy, you can even scrub the stone with a toothbrush for an extra shine.
