If you want to visit the lake shore, the only safe and legal place to do so is the Cleetwood Cove Trail. This trail usually opens late June. Keep in mind that conditions can change, so always check for updates before you go.

Keep in mind that lines to get into the park can be long, so plan accordingly!
The entrance fee for Crater Lake National Park is $30 per vehicle or $15 per person if entering on foot or bike. Your pass is good for 7 days and allows you unlimited access to the park. Please be prepared to show your pass upon entry, as photos of passes will not be accepted.
