Lake Michigan is one of the five great lakes in North America and is home to many aquatic species such as trout, smelt, and salmon. It is about 22,400 square miles in area, making it the fifth largest lake in the world. It is bordered by the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. The temperature of Lake Michigan is subject to a number of environmental factors. Furthermore, the lake is warmed by the other Great Lakes and the surrounding landmass. <\/p>\n
