\nCrater Lake is in southern Oregon, about 100 miles (161 kilometers) northeast of the Oregon-California border.<\/p>\n

Driving Directions
\nFrom Los Angeles, California, take Interstate 5 (I-5) north to the Oregon-California border. Continue on I-5 north through the cities of Medford and Grants Pass. About 7 miles (11 kilometers) north of Grants Pass, take Exit 61 for Highway 62 toward Crater Lake National Park. Drive east on Highway 62 for about 60 miles (97 kilometers), then turn north onto Highway 97. Follow Highway 97 to the park entrance.<\/p>\n

There is no direct route from Los Angeles to Crater Lake. The nearest major airport to Crater Lake is in Medford, Oregon, about a two and a half hour drive from the lake.<\/p>\n

Does Amtrak go to Crater Lake? <\/h2>\n

Crater Lake National Park is a great place to visit if you are looking to get away from it all and enjoy some beautiful scenery. The best way to get to the park is via Amtrak, which stops in Klamath Falls. From there, you will need to hire a car to travel the rest of the way to the park, which is about 60 miles north.
