In 1978, an attraction called the Loch Ness Monster opened at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. The ride was a steel roller coaster that featured a 104-foot drop. The ride was hugely popular, but in 2015, it was announced that the Loch Ness Monster would be closing. The ride was demolished in 2016, and a new attraction called the Battle for Eire was built in its place.<\/p>\n
