There has never been a shark in Lake Michigan. There are several reasons for this. Firstly, the Great Lakes are freshwater lakes and sharks live in saltwater. Secondly, even if a shark could survive in the Great Lakes, the water is too cold for them. Sharks arecold-blooded animals and need warm water to survive.<\/p>\n

There have been several reports of sharks in Lake Michigan, but most of these have been proven to be false. There was one reported sighting in 1955, but it was never confirmed.<\/p>\n
