Lakes are large, deep and typically fresh water systems that are surrounded by land. Great Lakes, like Lake Michigan, are even larger than regular lakes and are typically deep enough to allow for large ships to traverse through them. The average depth of Lake Michigan is 279 feet, with a maximum depth of 925 feet. The average depth of the other Great Lakes are: Superior (606 feet), Huron (195 feet), Erie (210 feet), and Ontario (802 feet).<\/p>\n

The recent record low water levels in Lake Mead are revealing human remains all over the popular Michigan tourist destination. Five bodies have been found recently between May and September of 2022, one of which was stuffed in a barrel reminding many of a plot line from the popular television show Dexter.<\/p>\n
