There are many abandoned ships hidden beneath the surface of Crater Lake. These ships were once part of a thriving community that resided on an island in the middle of the lake. The island was home to a large number of families who made their living by fishing and farming. However, the island was eventually destroyed by a volcanic eruption, and the remaining residents were forced to flee. The shipwrecks are all that remain of this lost community.<\/p>\n

A tunnel through dead aquatic moss at the bottom of Crater Lake would be an interesting sight to see. The dead moss layers accumulate over thousands of years, sometimes reaching 40 yards thick. This would be a great place to explore and learn more about the history of the lake.<\/p>\n
