Crater Lake is Oregon’s only national park and is home to the state’s deepest lake. The caldera lake is located in the southern part of the Cascade Range, about 100 miles (160 km) east of the state capital of Salem. The lake is about 5 miles (8 km) wide and is surrounded by cliffs that rise up to 2,000 feet (610 m) above its surface.<\/p>\n

The closest town to Crater Lake is called Fort Klamath and it is about 60 miles away from Winston, Oregon.<\/p>\n
