Crater Lake is the deepest and arguably most beautiful lake in the United States. It is also one of the most popular tourist destinations in Oregon. While swimming in Crater Lake is not allowed, there are plenty of other activities to enjoy such as hiking, fishing, and boating.<\/p>\n

Swimming or wading within 50 feet of any boat, boat dock or buoy on Crater Lake is prohibited. Swimming is allowed from the public boat dock on Wizard Island when not in use by park boats.<\/p>\n

Crater Lake is one of the snowiest places in America, with an average of 43 feet of snow per year. This means that there are only a few months when people can swim at Crater Lake, usually from June through September.<\/p>\n
