The road terminates at timberline near 8,000 feet, offering stunning views of the mountain.<\/p>\n

There is no water available on the trail to the top of Mount Shasta. You will need to melt snow for water if camping overnight.<\/p>\n

Private vehicles are allowed in the park for a fee of $30 in the summer and $20 in the winter. This fee admits one private, non-commercial vehicle (15-passenger capacity or less) and all occupants. The pass is good for 7 days. Motorcycles are also allowed in the park for a fee of $25 in the summer and $15 in the winter.<\/p>\n
